この絵は、1991年に制作したものである。作者名「竹屋すごろく」は、
1990年に私が作ったもう一つのペンネームである。

当時、ヒロ杉山というペンネームですでに仕事をしていたのだが、ある事をきっかけに、
ヒロ杉山とは別のスタイルの絵を描き始めた。そして、ペンネームをもう一つ追加したのであった。当時集めていたマーベルなどのアメリカンコミックスのカバーを切り取りコラージュし、その上に描いたのが「竹屋すごろく」のスタイルだった。

今回、90年代のこの作品2点を、『フリーダムディクショナリー』誌上のために、ストックルームから出してきました。

These two artworks were created in 1991. The name “Sugoroku Takeya” is another pen name I came up with in 1990.

At the time, I was already working under the name Hiro Sugiyama, but due to certain circumstances, I began creating works in a different style from Hiro Sugiyama. That led me to adopt a new pen name. I was collecting American comic book covers—such as those from Marvel—and started making collages by cutting them up, then painting over them. This became the distinctive style of “Sugoroku Takeya.”

This time, I brought out these two works from the 1990s from storage for the pages of Freedom Dictionary magazine.
